Stay at home mom. When the going gets tough turn around and find something good. #parenting #motherhood #children #overwhelmed #joy #apositivemessage

Taking the good with the bad, being a Stay at Home Mom.

Being a mother can be a daunting task at times. Being a stay at home mom? It’s a job in itself. As precious as each moment you spend with your child is, every one needs a break sometimes. It’s not all glamorous and wonderful. When the dishes are piling up, you’ve got a one year old crying in a dirty diaper, your phone is ringing and your mind is going over the may work tasks that have yet to be completed… suddenly it feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.

At times I stop amidst the chaos and begin to really feel. I feel like I can’t do it all and how could anyone expect otherwise? Some days it feels like no one understands just how much effort and energy is put into being a stay at home mom.

Yet, life has a way of reminding you that you are loved. Just when everything seems like it will never turn around, I look into my daughters big smiling eyes and her countenance lights up my world. That one precious moment makes it worth everything.

On one of Scarlett’s favorite TV shows “Daniel Tigers Neighborhood” there’s a song on a particular episode that resonates with my daily life. “When something seems bad, turn it around and find something good.” What excellent advice for everyone.

So just when you think you’re ready to throw in the towel, take a deep breath and say to yourself…

When something seems bad, turn it around and find something good.
